2009 OPUS Architecture and Construction award winner

On this project the site works for us consisted of the strengthening of the existing lime plastered rubble walls and replastering in lime render, all the time honouring the wall’s unique contours and existing arches.

The Restoration of the Turner Peach House, Áras an Uachtaráin, won the award in the Heritage Category. The Turner range of glass houses (known as ‘The Peach House’ range) in the gardens of Áras an Uachtaráin were designed by the renowned 19th century Architect Richard Turner. DB Plaster was commissioned by PJ Hegarty and sons {main builder} and the OPW to restore the Peach Houses to their former glory by faithful restoration.
